Research you can visit.

Not moodboards. Live WebGL and WebGPU, real materials, real physics, real typography systems - and every reusable discovery flows straight back into client work.

- The Brief

Design studios assert taste. Saved screenshots of other people’s work train nothing, and a design idea that only survives a mockup is a rumour rather than knowledge.

- Diagnosis

Make R&D a daily practice with a hard constraint: every specimen must run. A design idea that survives implementation is knowledge, and the parts that survive get extracted as components.

- The Build

01 · Every specimen must be technically real

Plates are built with real materials, procedural lighting and deterministic render pipelines that hold frame rate. The WebGPU work runs live for anyone who visits.

02 · Extract the reusable organs

Nine standalone 3D formations - torus knot, Lorenz attractor, DNA helix, Voronoi, neural mesh, L-system tree and more - were pulled out as documented components. They are why sixty-one gallery demos could each get a unique hero.

03 · Even the art checks its own claims

A live sky specimen over Louisville self-verifies its star positions against the JPL Horizons ephemeris on every page load - the same verification habit that runs the client work, applied to the night sky.

- Artifacts Delivered

  1. 01Fifty-three catalogued browser specimens, indexed 001-053
  2. 02Twenty themed deployments and nine editorial plates
  3. 03Nine reusable 3D formations extracted as documented components
  4. 04A sky specimen that verifies itself against an external ephemeris

- Outcome

The program is R&D department, portfolio and shop window on one owned surface - and its extracted parts are what make the no-two-alike standard possible in client work.

- Receipts

  • 53specimens live and visitable
  • 9extracted formations feeding sixty-one unique client heroes
  • 9.0top specimen rating on the inventory’s own scale

- Not yet known

  • Commercial return from the program
  • Editions sold or licensed
  • Traffic to individual specimens

Nothing from the program has been sold or licensed to date. The productization path is open and deliberately unexercised - the specimens have earned their keep by feeding client work and fronting products, which is a real return but not a revenue figure, and it should not be dressed as one.
