Four principles guide every project:

1. **Substance first** -- Working software over impressive pitches. A deployed site that loads fast and works on mobile matters more than a beautiful deck that describes one.

2. **Built to last** -- Good systems outlast good intentions. Code should be maintainable by someone who didn't write it. Dependencies should be chosen for stability, not novelty.

3. **Measure twice** -- Test the work, then ship it. Every client site goes through Playwright E2E testing. Every deployment is verified with actual browser screenshots, not curl checks or source code inspection.

4. **People over tech** -- Technology works for humans, not the reverse. The fanciest stack means nothing if the business owner can't update their hours or a customer can't find the phone number.
